The advent calendar is made up from 26 individual solid hardwood boxes. The wood that is too small to use in the workshop I usually put in the wood burner to keep me warm. Last weekend I couldn't bring myself to burn a small bit of Cherry wood and came up with the idea for an everlasting advent calendar. The 26th box has a wind up musical box which plays 'We wish you a merry Christmas'.
