This weekend I got about 4 hours on Saturday to work on the workshop. I managed to put shelves up in the potting shed of the workshop, then work began on the frame for the doors.

The frame is made from the recycled wood that I ran through the thicknesser last week. I made a mortise joint for the uprights to go into the cross beam. The structure went up well and I managed to build the supporting frames either side that will be featherboarded.

The next job is to make the base for the solid sweet chestnut step. The step is about 1.5m long and 0.4m wide. The sweet chestnut has a waney edge it should look lovely.
